Harmonized Skies 2026: Is the digital aviation industry ready to scale?

Reflecting on the recent discussions at Harmonized Skies 2026 in Tokyo, there was a clear consensus: It is no longer about the technology itself, but rather establishing the conditions required for large-scale, continuous operations.

While individual flight tests and localised BVLOS operations have become routine, transitioning to high-density, multi-operator airspace demands a fundamental shift. It requires robust regulatory alignment, international standards, and a shared, reliable infrastructure framework.

To move from isolated success stories to a truly global and connected airspace, the ecosystem must focus on building resilient foundations for safety, capacity, and predictability.

CCO Sebastian Babiarz joined the talk: "A Decade of GUTMA: Lessons Learned, What's next"

At Skypuzzler, we are building these essential foundations. Our integrated Digital Air Traffic Control (iDATC) system delivers a digital control infrastructure that turns a holistic view of traffic and airspace into predictable, explainable and traceable control outputs, enabling safe, scalable, uncrewed operations.

Skypuzzler had the honour of sponsoring this years attendee bags

Thanks to Global UTM Association for gathering the drone and UTM ecosystem for a great exchange of ideas. We are happy to convey the message of a shared airspace via the attendee bags.
