Flight Dynamics and Control Engineer (Toulouse)
Collision Avoidance for Space Traffic Management
Are you an orbital mechanics enthusiast with a passion for solving complex problems in space? Do you have a strong background (+5 years) in flight dynamics, spacecraft control, and a strong academic foundation?

Join our team in Toulouse and shape the future of space
Imagine a puzzle in space, where satellites must navigate crowded orbits without colliding with each other or with the growing volume of space debris. Space has become a domain marked by increasing complexity and risk. With thousands of satellites already in orbit, reliable and automated collision avoidance is vital to the long-term safety and sustainability of space.
At Skypuzzler, we have already paved the way in digital air traffic control for drones. Now we are taking the next step and bringing that expertise into space.

We are looking for a Flight Dynamics and Control Engineer to advance automated collision avoidance in space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate models for orbit propagation, conjunction analysis, and collision probability.
  • Analyse real-world data from satellite operators and SSA providers.
  • Collaborate with product, software, and project teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Qualifications
  • MSc or PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong background (+5 years) in flight dynamics, orbital mechanics, and spacecraft control.
  • Experience with conjunction analysis, orbit propagation, and SSA data.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on with simulation environments and performance validation.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Nice to have, but not a necessity
  • Experience with covariance analysis, or AI/ML applied to orbital dynamics.
What We Offer
  • A supportive and inclusive company culture
  • Opportunities for personal and professional growth
  • Work directly on problems that keep spacecraft from colliding
  • Flexible working hours tailored to your needs
